Oh hi!

I'm Karen Mattiazzo

I've worked as a Graphic and Digital Designer for more than 10 years in Brazil. Been through studios and agencies and became a Jack of all trades really. When I moved to England I started working at a company as a Product Designer, meaning I'd illustrate prints and patterns for merch collections for all sorts of clients, mostly influencers.

Im here to design something really magical and mystical for home decor and can elevate patterns for several products. Because I worked with POD I can easily adapt patterns to different shapes and sizes for several products.

Quick Glimpse
01.The name

Full Mistica comes from the interest and curiosity of all things mystical. Crystals, astrology, moon cycles, history of witchcraft, magic spells and much more.

02.Illustrations

I have one style of line art, which is very detailed, grainy and with a turquoise glow to match my personal brand. I draw on a tablet, either Wacom or on Procreate.

03.My collections

I want to explore mystical subjects on my collections, so I use the same tecnique to draw, then I add colour on procreate. You can see I always turn to nature and symbols inspired by runes.

04.Surface

My patterns can be used on anything that needs a touch, stationery, wall art, accessories, homewear, wallpaper, etc. Because I worked with POD I'm used to prepare files to match the product.

Timeline

  • Graduated in Fashion Design at Fine Arts Uni in São Paulo
  • Studied Graphic Design at FAAP Uni in São Paulo
  • Worked at several studios and agencies as an Assistant Designer, Senior Graphic/Digital Designer, Art Director and more for around 8 years
  • Moved to Manchester, United Kingdom in March 2019!
  • Worked as a Freelancer for a small brand from the UK and brands all over the world
  • Stayed 2 years at a company designing merch collections for influencers
  • Started exploring my own line work and illustration style (see below)
  • Developed an interest in mystical collections and created dark, pagan themes with skulls in the winter months
  • Monstera Skulls was born and I realised that was the style I wanted to follow
  • Designed more and more collections, exploring dark and light themes influenced by the seasons, always using skulls and runes
  • Launched my GIFT SHOP with my prints on paper and fabric!
  • Have been working commissioned and chasing collaborations to print my patterns on all kinds of surfaces, for small or big brands!
